Have to Vacate Mom’s Former Home

 I’ve been able to stay in mom’s former residence in a Tenafly NJ senior housing project for three years. But now I must leave.

 I’ve managed to find a room nearby. It’s a cold, basement residence in a house that’s packed like a storage compartment. Every room has stuff piled up Willie Nilly. The basement is cold and the person renting to me I find is also.

It’s not ideal, however I don’t have any options at this point after looking since April 22nd when asked to vacate 369 Tenafly Rd. The main feature is that it is close to mother and within my budget.

When I returned to Mother’s former residence, lo and behold there in broad daylight was this beautiful baby Deer that saw me and kept eating the vegetation!

The very Jewish man presented me with a less than standard lease. I don’t know if it was the fact I haven’t slept in the last 24 hours, or the way it was worded, but it made no sense to me? It wasn’t a standard lease and it didn’t seem fair. I’ll have to have other eyes check it out before I sign it.

Current events are stressful.

I try to keep it together as the shit has yet to hit he fan full on... but my car on Maui is a pain in the butt!I manage to hold on to my sanity by making art. It’s a meditation. Hungry now... have to go make something to eat. I.e. throw a few turkey slices on some raisin bread along with my favorite LYDEN CHEESE.

Went for a nature hike in Teaneck Conservancy. Forgot my jacket with the cap Ynez made me, so I had to improvise.

I have to deal with my car on Maui. Might have to leave 369 G, daily mom visits. Fixed her phone. She can hardly see. Will visit tomorrow and give the crew at the Manor a little gift for the holidays.

A Touchy Subject! Magic Mac Mousepad Tricks!

Testing a screen capture, having used a gesture on my 13" MacBook Pro running Sierra…totally new to me as I usually don't jump into new software, rather continue making progress rather than be "forced" to learn new tricks. With this new 2016 Machine, I just learned that pushing up with three fingers give's this view of all the windows open in the various software currently being worked with, in this case, Digital Performer, Audio Hi-Jack, The App Store and iTunes. I also like that by clicking on this image capture (command shift 4), it automatically opens in an email (great feature, new to me as well) A click on it brings up the ability to share on social networks, save to various locations cool! By swiping down, I can return to where I was. Neat!

Subject: In Englewood hospital ER

I've been in the ER room six hours transported by ambulance from my doctors office where I had a fainting episode while they were drawing blood on Monday morn., after tormenting weekend sweats.

Sunday went to Hosp. Intending to go ER. Felt a bit better so went home & immediately felt bad again. Wonder if AC unit is poisoning me?

I haven't been able to eat anything of consequence for 4-5 days now, feeling my stomach is tight and in knots. I went to Dr's ASAP after feeling weak and sweating for a few JJ sleepless nights up to & including the weekend.

 Couldn't wait to see the doctor Monday morning. When they were drawing blood, I almost passed out. Several aides held me up while others splashed water on my head and another used paper to fan me. I might've been out for 20 secs.

Before I knew it the paramedics were there. There was no place in the emergency room to put me except in the hall where I've been for the last six hours waiting for the results of the tests which all came back negative. And yet, I still feel like something is wrong systematically. I had the same problem/experience in Hawaii where they found nothing wrong with me and yet I wound up back in the ER there as well the next day via Ambulance for cellulitis resulting from bug bite.

In NJ ER HALLWAY

This is like the seventh or eighth episode this year of sweating profusely for about five days before it tapers off and I get back to feeling more or less normal with an appetite.

Meanwhile I'm living out of a suitcase at my mother's HUD apartment in New Jersey and all of my life's trappings are in storage on Maui. 

Cold wet cloth on head & neck my saving grace to help me get at least a little (very restless) sleep at moms. 

I wonder if AC is TENAFLY HSE installed or Privately placed? Needs a cleaning. I called ofc months ago to ask 4 handyman - Susan Brown says not their responsibility? WTF!?

I've been in this ER hallway all day with nurses and doctors scurrying about. nobody really advancing any diagnosis... they can't find anything wrong with me; yet I haven't been able to eat with my stomach in knots and feeling very weak during my sweating episodes. My fingers numb and tingling and that doesn't seem to matter to anyone

Yesterday appetite came back a bit. Had fruitcup for breakfast (all I could do to go to stop n shop to buy) late afternoon was able to go get a burger at B.King - helped release stomach knots), but today Still weak with little appetite...thankfully sweating stopped. Episodes last 5-7 days and taper off??

Today I Came to ENGLEWOOD hospital Cafeteria again for breakfast of a couple eggs - slowly getting strength back. But haven't pooped in a week- prolly cause nothing in-nothing out? I was hoping yesterday's burger would kick-start my BM response. Nada.

while in ER Monday, I recognized moms doc, dr Laosa flying by - said hi from gurney - no recognition or time to investigate/talk. I See her partner and moms dr Manny katz Aug 30 - maybe HE CAN get to the bottom of my sweats & challenges?

Music continues by a Thread

Luckily I've met a few people in New Jersey with whom to make music. As always I am never the one to be called but always the one to call looking for a companion to share experience with, musical experience.

Meetup.com is always a great place to find friends into the same kind of music as me. In fact at last nights JM, it was the birthday girls that were celebrated in here is their video:

Back in New Jersey On Fire Creatively Speaking

Its so comforting to be back in Mother's apartment. I guess that would be true for many a soul as our mother's homes are naturally nurturing, that is if your mother is anything like mine. Even at 96.9 she's got my welfare foremost in consciousness. Thank God she still has her marbles. I'd feel at a tremendous loss at this point, if she were to suddenly pass. But it seems like she's going to be with us for a whole lot more years...I'm happy to report.
My last shot at finding a long term Maui residence didn't fare well. So now that I'm developing new friends and resources here in NJ, I'm feeling to pass on going right back to Maui, even though Winter is approaching.
